Watch this video to start learning about fractions:

You will need headphones.  This is quiet, independent work.  Finish the tasks in order, then answer the questions on the quizlet or in your math journal.

Click on the Study Jams link to watch a video. Then play the Fractions Shoot game three times.  Go on to Task 2.

Task 2
Watch the Fractions 1 video, then play the ordering fractions game.  When you're done, answer the questions in your journal or on a piece of paper.

  1. Sydnie has 8 brownies.  3 of them do not have frosting.  What is the fraction of brownies without frosting?  What is the fraction of brownies with frosting?
  2. Ethan has a large pizza that is divided into 8 equal slices. He ate 3 of them.  Wyatt has a large that is divided into 4 equal slices.  He ate 3 of them.  Who ate more pizza?  
  3. Put these fractions in order from smallest to largest.  Draw a picture for each fraction:  1/2, 3/4, 2/8, and 2/2.
